Today I love "The Alternative." Right now (well, at 2 in the morning, I'm just watching it now) they are playing "Everywhere That I'm Not" by Translators. Now that is alternative. Good work!

If you were on "Rock Star: Supernova," what would you sing? The show is obsessed with the mid-1990s, so I would totally do "Possum Kingdom" from the Toadies -- which I insist on calling "So Help Me Jesus" and/or "Do You Wanna Die?" because that is funny to me, like how I call TV movies by their plot ("My Dad, Robert Urich, Killed My Mom, Joanna Kerns Only I Didn't Believe he Did It, But Now I Do"). Also it reminds me of someone I used to work with who honestly thought that Nirvana's "Sliver" was really called "Grandma Take Me Home," also totally funny.

I have a new favorite song. It is called "The Funeral" and it is from Band of Horses. It is totally creepy and I love it. You can hear it!

Hey, did you know that everyone's favorite friends, Sloan, have a new song? They do. It's on their MySpace page. Also The Veils have a new song on their MySpace page. It's a good time to be me.

Well, maybe not so much. But I do go on vacation for a few days next week and that is just fantastic.
