the red light's turning on again

I got roses last Tuesday from my darling friend El Fano and they are just starting to droop now. Isn't that a long time? I always feel like they last three days.

In other news, they have brought audible crosswalks to Manhattan, I hear (ho!), which is a very good idea to hook up the visually impaired, but I must warn you that the shrieking cue is really annoying. I know this from Toronto, where, when drunk or exhausted or both, I tend to scream "AAAH! Alright! I get it. Shut the F UP!!" when they go off. It sounds like an evil bloodthirsty bird (the signal, not me screaming -- although...). You might wonder why I've so often been running through the streets of Toronto while drunk and/or exhausted, and that is because it is really difficult to get a cab there, especially when the bars let out and the rock shows end, and they don't even have any real hotels near the good bars or rock shows. Idiots. I miss Toronto. Ah, Toronto.

What am I going to give up for Lent? Maybe Toronto. But I was probably going to do that anyway. So what else, hmm? The possibilities are endless.

Speaking of Toronto, does it get any more Toronto than this?
"Don McKellar Says New Chris Murphy Song Is Supposed To Suck"

Also, we all know how I feel about sucky Chris Murphy songs. I must listen to "Guidance Counselor" once a day! You take the good, you take the bad.

Anyway, I'm interested in hearing an on-purpose bad song. CM, hook me up! Also, if you have an MP3 of "Adam and Lorraine" from Ben & Jason, I could use that as well. Mine's on cassette.

Which isn't to say that "Adam and Lorraine" is bad. Quite the contrary, actually. I just remembered that I really want to hear it.

Oh my goodness, I forget that the early days of Ben & Jason go back to the age of the cassette. I must work to rectify this immediately. Love, Kim

There is so much wrong with this Bob Dylan clip. First off, the way it says, "we were such good buddies" in quotes. I know what they mean, but it has a "yeah right!" feeling, which is terrible. Also, RealAudio? Bob, you're kidding me. Now I have to download Real. I just woke up and I am not ready for it, but I will report back later.

And Kim, you know I didn't want to ask you for "Adam & Lorraine" because you are the one who gave me it in the first place, but I am running out of options. You know, besides finding somewhere to buy it and waiting 10 years for it to ship. iTunes sucks, and even the stealing places, no luck. I found "You-Shaped Hole," and you'd think if you have that you have it all, but not this person. Fool. Of course, now I am that same fool.

This, sir, is a true abomination. I almost gave up very early on (after all the effort of downloading RealPlayer AND a plug-in coder thing? Yes, because of the pain) but I am so glad I stuck around to get to the "I don't know!" part. Oh man. You don't know, Bob? That's pretty clear. Whoa. And ohh.
