bet you'd live here if you could and be one of us

Yeah, what he said!

Speaking of New England and hate, I somehow got talked into going to a Super Bowl party, though I can't stand football. How do these things work? My plan was to arrive at halftime (it's at a bar, not a house) and vaguely rep the Eagles, for at least we have mid-Atlanticness in common. Probably I just shouldn't go at all, but I'm always eager to scratch an "I never..." off my list. And sneer at displaced Bostonians. Honestly, if it's so great, why the f- are you here, hmm?

I love knowing that this carries over to your clam chowder preferences. Lady, you are thorough.

It was nothing. I simply forgot to write the crucial "This title brought to you by": part, so I axed it in favor of the real deal. Though, if I am being honest, it is always nice to read, "Don't tease, Jane." So thanks.

And yes, Kim, you always know how this lady feels about cream-based soups. UGH!

PS I still don't really know what happens at a Super Bowl party, because as far as I can tell, you drink 5 beers, flirt and talk to a bunch of people you haven't seen in forever, reconnect, decide it is your very own Best Week Ever, make tons of likely-to-fall-apart plans to see these people this coming week, come home and read your email and try and figure out how you are going to get any sleep tonight. Yeah.

So the Eagles lost, right?

Puppy Bowl! That is a much better idea. I should have had my very own Puppy Bowl party. No one I was talking to was interested in the game much, anyway.
